About LevyCheck
What We Do
LevyCheck is a free benchmarking tool for Australian strata owners and committee members. Enter your building address and quarterly levy, and we'll show you how your levies compare against similar buildings in your area — instantly, with no signup required.
How It Works
We aggregate real levy data from public property listings, government registers, and crowdsourced submissions to build a comprehensive picture of what strata owners actually pay. Your levy is compared against buildings with similar characteristics:
- Location — postcode, statistical area, and state-level benchmarks
- Building size — storey count and number of lots
- Building age — newer buildings typically have lower maintenance costs
- Amenities — lifts, pools, gyms, and other shared facilities that affect costs
Why It Matters
Strata levies are one of the largest ongoing costs of apartment ownership, yet most owners have no way to know if their levies are reasonable. Overpaying erodes your investment. Underpaying can mean deferred maintenance, special levies, and declining building value. LevyCheck gives you the data to ask the right questions at your next AGM.
Our Data
Our benchmarks are built from tens of thousands of real observations sourced from the NSW Strata Hub, property listings, insurance data, and user submissions. We use the Australian Bureau of Statistics Statistical Geography (SA3, SA4, SUA, GCCSA) to provide meaningful local comparisons, with intelligent fallbacks when local data is sparse.
Privacy First
We don't collect personal information. No account required, no email, no name. Submissions are identified only by an anonymised IP hash for deduplication purposes. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
Australia-Wide
LevyCheck works for strata buildings across all Australian states and territories. Benchmark depth varies by location — areas with more data points deliver more precise comparisons.
